Too many products carry a gender bias as they are mainly developed by men. HerHackathon tries to shift the perspective and counter underrepresentation of women in tech. For the second year in a row, AllianzGI partnered with HerHackathon, to bring young female IT professionals together to develop solutions for problems posed by partnering companies. The catch: they only have 72 hours. Four teams went for our challenge with members of the AllianzGI team mentoring them. The winning team – “Run the code” – proposed an application which would allow users to import their existing portfolios and banking data into one app, I was very impressed by giving them an overview of their financials the creative solutions the and ensuring strong data protection.
